SENIOR MANAGER – Manufacturing/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automation

Responsibilities:

  • Advice and support in the development of new products with regard to design for manufacturability, as well as assembly-optimized variant and process design
  • Design of the optimal total value stream in close coordination with the project team and the target location while observing the requirements – quality, cycle, costs, flexibility, etc.
  • Design of the assembly value stream and product structure with the aim of low-waste, agile variant production taking into account the lean principles: stability, flow, clock and pull
  • Creation of concepts for optimized handling sequences/ procedures for the efficient and standardized assembly of products / product variants
  • Creation of concepts for cross-technology assembly or processing systems
  • Creation of concepts for Assembly tools, Jigs and Fixtures
  • Creation of concepts for Production line and automation equipment
  • Creation, implementation and verification of low-waste production workplaces and operating resources in cooperation with suppliers, taking into account the requirements of the target location and the project task
  • Participation in the creation of self-designed production aids
  • Planning and recording of manufacturing times, providing this as the basis for product calculation
  • Creation and checking of manufacturing documents taking into account the requirements of the target location and the project task
  • Examination of the manufacturing documents and the manufacturing process with regard to legal or regulatory requirements – Ex, functional safety.
  • Active support of prototypes and pilot series, possibly independent execution of individual process steps
  • Work with suppliers for development of Assembly tools, Jigs and Fixtures
  • Work with suppliers for development of Production line and automation equipment
  • Produce Prototypes using 3D Printers
  • Support the project management in the planning and implementation of sample / prototype and pilot series orders
  • Checking and optimizing the production setup in the framework of the prototypes and pilot series in accordance with the project requirements and other applicable guidelines
  • Independent support, documentation and evaluation of results from prototypes and pilot series, as well as communication of these to project management and development
  • Identification of improvement potential in product and process design and independent implementation of improvements in manufacturing flow
  • Accompanying the product start-up, proof of the reproducibility / process capability of the manufacturing process according to the requirements in TPU
  • Training of employees in the target manufacturing facility with regard to product / process knowledge as well as the legal and regulatory requirements in the context of the project
  • Setup and Qualification of Assembly tools, Jigs and Fixtures
  • Setup and Qualification of Production line and automation equipment
  • Lead the selected projects for targeted productivity improvements
  • Lead the Implementation of changes to line lay out, material flow, production processes, equipment, jigs & fixtures for significant improvement projects
  • Meet set performance objectives and deliver projects on-time and in-budget
  • Review Project Organization, Project Status and follow-up on open, not closed or ineffective projects.
  • Audit and stress existing processes if they are still updated
  • Develop and lead implementation of new processes and automation & semi-automation concepts
  • Ensure, source, promote potential managers, successors and talents with new assignments, new roles and responsibilities and share with other Managers their performance and potentials
  • Define clear responsibilities and work scopes for direct reporting staff and for the own responsibilities and accountabilities
  • Share information with fellow peers, stakeholders and colleagues about Industrial Engineering topics regularly
  • Budget and control expenses of Projects and Department

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Engineering with Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial or related
  • At least 12 years of working experience in electronic products manufacturing industry/ global company/
  • Good experiences in Process, Industrial engineering and technical sections/ Knowledge of GD&T, Drafting (3D/2D) software and Tools/ Knowledge of Jigs, Fixtures and Line Equipment development, Automation.
  • Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Good time management, leadership, problem solving, People management , Coaching and communication skills
  • Fluently English skills
  • Good computer skills: Ms office, outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Salary: Negotiable
